Play at the oldest golf club in South Bohemia
The Bechyně golf course is located in the heart of the Černická obora nature reserve, which was founded in 1586 by Peter Vok of Rosenberg, and is a real gem, just 7 km from the historic town of Bechyně. Five of the nine holes are beautifully laid out amid this natural wonder, set on a rectangular lawn surrounded by towering trees. The centuries-old deciduous trees not only offer breathtaking scenery, they also test your strategy with every shot and make you wonder, "Can I beat these giants?"
Our course offers two unique forest holes where precision is key – anything outside the fairway often means a lost ball. Especially at sunset, the backdrop exudes an aristocratic charm that makes your game even more memorable. The Freibauernfestung, which houses our clubhouse and restaurant, together with the nearby baroque castle, adds to the overall atmosphere and creates a very special place to play.
The meadow holes are straightforward and open, but don't be fooled – trees and hidden water hazards are always in play and require well-thought-out shots. The forest holes wind and require accuracy and patience. Although the course presents challenges, it is accessible to players of all skill levels, with the central meadow providing the perfect place for beginners to enjoy their game.
As the oldest golf club in South Bohemia, we are proud to combine our rich history with an exceptional course experience. Whether you are here for the challenge or the breathtaking scenery, the Bechyně Golf Course ensures an unforgettable round every time.
