Golfing at the foot of Colmberg Castle

The 18-hole golf course at GC Ansbach is located in Colmberg, right between Ansbach and Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the Romantic Franconia holiday region. It is only 10 minutes from the A7 motorway. The first nine holes take players across flat terrain near the Altmühl river. The hilly terrain from holes 10-18 at the foot of the striking Hohenzollernburg castle then takes on a completely different character. The panoramic tee shot from hole 16 is a sporting challenge and a visual delight. The 18-hole course is a varied course. It offers relaxed golf, natural beauty and magnificent views. The Ansbach Golf Club is a member of the Franconia Golf Region.
Members and guests appreciate the informal and friendly atmosphere for which the club is known. In the cosy clubhouse and on the sun terrace, you can relax after your round of golf and enjoy a magnificent view of Colmberg Castle. Ansbach Golf Club was founded in 1960, making it one of the oldest in Bavaria. The course is located in the arid Franconian Highlands. The sun shines here very often, while it rains elsewhere. This is nice, but it also means that the course constantly changes with the weather conditions and requires clever play.
