Golf on Laggo Maggiore

The Piandisole Golf Club, in the municipality of Premeno (VB) above Verbania, was founded by a few summer holidaymakers who did not want to miss out on their passionate game of golf while on holiday up there. So in 1962 they decided to set up a golf course in the summer so that they would not miss out on their holidays. This is how the Piandisole Golf Park came into being. The marvellous course was designed by the famous British golf course architect John Dering Harris.

The course is situated in a unique location between gentle mountain slopes at an altitude of 1000 metres with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding Alps. Initially it was a pleasant, technically challenging par 3 golf course, which was changed over the years to the current course, a par 68 with double tees. Towards the end of the sixties, the golf club was completed with a pretty and cosy club house.

Many holidaymakers from nearby and tourists from abroad appreciate this little jewel in the mountains, as it challenges the skills of all levels and offers a pleasant climate in the hot summer.
