Golf on Lake Maggiore

The Piandisole Golf Club, located in the municipality of Premeno (VB) above Verbania, was founded by a group of friends who spent their summers there and did not want to give up their passion for golf while on holiday. So, in the summer of 1962, they decided to create a golf course so that they could continue playing during their holidays. This is how the Piandisole Golf Park came into being. The beautiful course was designed by the famous British golf course architect John Dering Harris.

The course is situated in a unique location between gentle mountain slopes at an altitude of 1,000 metres, with breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding Alps. Initially, it was a pleasant, technically challenging par 3 golf course, which over the years has been transformed into the current course, a par 68 with double tees. Towards the end of the 1960s, the golf club was completed with a pretty and cosy clubhouse.

Many holidaymakers from nearby and tourists from abroad appreciate this little gem in the mountains, as it challenges players of all abilities and offers a pleasant climate in the hot summer.
