Golf as a nature experience

The Arona Golf Club in the Lake Maggiore area has been a reference point for golfers of all levels for years, just an hour from Milan. This 9-hole course is nestled in Piedmont in hilly but never unfair terrain. Small propeller planes sometimes fly alongside the 1st hole and take off in the middle of the golf course, which most people consider more of an attraction than a disturbance.
Old trees prevent shortcuts on the doglegs, very narrow fairways and a great par 3 with an island green characterise this course.
In the numerous lakes, you don't just lose balls, as usual, you even encounter turtles and otters.
Golfers will also find a well-equipped practice facility with a putting green, pitching green and a driving range with 18 covered tees.
