Built in 1988, this golf course is one of the most interesting in Bavaria. The Minoritenhof estate – hundreds of years old – is located just outside the ancient Roman city of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 27-hole course is situated in the beautiful Danube Valley. The first 9 holes are hilly and offer a wonderful view over the entire valley. The second 9 holes are flat and reminiscent of an English park landscape with old trees. The Danube flows directly alongside the fairways – idyllic and pure nature, only a 10-minute drive from Regensburg city centre. In 2015, the course was expanded to include its own modern marina. The restaurant is located in the clubhouse, in the vaults of a former schnapps distillery. Here, guests can enjoy home-style cooking and round off their day of golf on the terrace in the historic courtyard.
