Porsche Golf Course – designed by Bernhard Langer

Located right next to the Beckenbauer Golf Course, the Porsche Golf Course is, in sporting terms, the little brother of the European Tour-approved Championship Course and thus a perfect complement to it. The design of the par 71 course also comes from Germany's world-class golfer Bernhard Langer and has similar basic features, but was designed more with the needs of recreational players in mind. The terrain is flat, and the 18 holes lead through a mixture of short and longer holes through the floodplain landscape of the Rott river, which has been integrated into the layout in some places. At 65 hectares, the Porsche Golf Course is slightly more compact than the Beckenbauer Golf Course, with its gently undulating fairways and mature trees making it more visually appealing than its more open neighbour. Wider fairways, fewer lateral flood basins and relatively shorter holes also make the Porsche Golf Course more enjoyable and slightly easier to play overall. However, this fair course, which is suitable for all handicap classes and easy to walk, is by no means lacking in technical challenges and good golf holes.

Particularly memorable are hole 4, a long par 4 dogleg left along the Rott with a difficult second shot onto a green fronted by a stream, hole 13, a par 3 with a peninsula green, and the strong finale of holes 16 to 18, where water constantly comes into play: whether it's the drive on hole 16, a 90-degree dogleg around a pond, the tee shot on 17 onto the green protected by the same pond, or the approach on the final hole onto a green with another pond in front of it.

Dogs are allowed on the Porsche Golf Course from 3 p.m. onwards – on a leash.
