 GC Oberfranken – golfing in beautiful natural surroundings

Conveniently located on the A 70 motorway, in the triangle between Kulmbach, Bayreuth and Bamberg, the Golfclub Oberfranken e.V. blends harmoniously into the Franconian cultural landscape in a quiet location. Designed by Donald Harradine in 1965, the course offers views from Kulmbach's Plassenburg Castle over the heights of the Franconian Forest to the peaks of the Fichtel Mountains. As one of the few classic parkland courses in Germany, the course is characterised by its varied fairways and allows for a relaxing round in the shade of the old trees, even in midsummer.

After your round, you can round off the day on the spacious clubhouse terrace right next to the 18th green and enjoy the view over several fairways and the practice area with its short course. It is also worth taking a detour to the market town of Thurnau, which is known for its wonderfully preserved historic centre and pottery.
