The Rottaler has a maturity that younger courses simply cannot replicate. It is the oldest course in the area, designed by Swiss architect Donald Harradine. You walk here beneath ancient trees, listening to the gentle murmur of the Rott, and sometimes feel as though time stood still a few decades ago. Pleasantly flat and easy to walk, yet not to be underestimated: the Rott and several ponds come into play time and again, and the greens are faster than you might expect.
