At the foot of the Kreischberg, Steiermark's World Championship mountain, golf takes on a very distinctive character. GC Murau-Kreischberg is known for its appealing course design: undulating greens, exciting forest fairways, and a unique wooden design that hints at the timber world of Murau. Wooden palisades line the ponds and bunkers, an ancient lumberjack's hut serves as the halfway station. The crowning finale is hole 18 with its island green right in front of the clubhouse terrace – from there you can watch the play of others for a long time to come.

The only course in a Natura 2000 protected area in Europe
The third oldest golf club in Steiermark is unique in Europe: as the only facility on the continent, GLC Ennstal lies entirely within a Natura 2000 protected area. The fairways are considered the flattest within the Alps – an impressive contrast to the majestic mountain panorama all around. Hole 9 is known as one of the most spectacular Par 3 holes in Austria, and the natural island green on hole 5 remains in every player's memory. GC Ausseerland is situated on a high plateau above Bad Aussee – right in the geographical heart of Austria. The course is deliberately tournament-free, and waiting times are a rarity.
